Illustrations & Prints is a Rural Business Awards FINALIST!

We're thrilled to announce that Illustrations & Prints have been selected as a Rural Business Awards Finalist for the South East Best Rural Creative or Media Based Business category!

Louise Dunckley, owner and artist, was taken by surprise when Jemma Clifford, one of the co-founders of The Rural Business Awards (RBAs), personally picked Illustrations & Prints as her entry. Jemma had spotted Louise’s prints being used in an extensive travel campaign across the county, encouraging visitors to the Surrey countryside.

Since 2017, Illustrations & Prints has been creating and selling a select number of prints illustrating the Surrey countryside and inspired by the nostalgia of railway travel posters of the past. This nostalgic style has caught the imagination of various local businesses, including Dorking Halls and Hill House Farm. More recently, Illustrations & Prints has worked with the Surrey Hills AONB to create a range of 6 limited edition prints to commemorate their 60th anniversary. Caroline Price, Marketing Communications Officer for the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) comments;

“2018 marks 60 years since the Surrey Hills was officially designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and we were looking for a local artist to illustrate the iconic sites of the Surrey Hills. I came across Louise’s work and knew it was just what we were looking for. Her work has interpreted from prints and posters to postcards and bus back vinyls! It’s proved so popular and is just perfect for raising awareness of our beautiful Surrey Hills – we wish Louise every success in the Rural Business Awards 2018/2019 and we are looking forward to doing lots more collaborations in the future.”

The aim of the RBAs is to give recognition to businesses operating right across the Rural sector, celebrating their achievements and acknowledging the breadth and depth of opportunity presented by the Great British countryside. The winners of the South East region will be announced at an awards ceremony on Tuesday 23rd October 2018 at Denbies Wine Estate, Dorking.

Our fingers and toes are tightly crossed!
